Founding Location
The Brewery to the "Three Crowns” (Drei Kronen) was founded in the village of Strassgiech, Bavaria, nearby the historical castle named “Giechburg”.
Strassgiech (or “Giech at the road”, as it was called in former times) is situated at the old salt trade route between Bamberg and Bayreuth in Northern Bavaria and has its name from the counts of “Giech”.
At the times of Napoleon, the Drei Kronen Brewery and Restaurant was used as a camp for the “personal imperial guards” of his Majesty “Napoleon” Emperor of France!

The historical site of Drei Kronen 1308 Brewery & Restaurant in Bavaria still located in the small village of Strassgiech became the very first “Brauhaus & Restaurant” of Drei Kronen and was the origin of the Drei Kronen 1308 World Wide Concept which offers today: ‘Brewing Services, Consulting Services, Licenses and Franchise Systems’ on a worldwide basis.
